“A disjointed straggler is forced to choose between a purpose in talking with animatronic furniture on live television broadcast -- or be alone again, post-cataclysm.” In... THE MARTY MACDONALD EMERGENCY BROADCAST SYSTEM SHOW!

“There's a world of difference between insisting on someone's doing something and establishing an atmosphere in which that person can grow into wanting to do it.”― Fred Rogers, You Are Special: Neighborly Wit And Wisdom From Mister Rogers

The Marty MacDonald’s Emergency Broadcast Network Show! is an 8-minute “black-label” surrealist-horror comedy capturing ARTHUR MACARNOLD by live broadcast in the leftovers of the children’s television program -- THE PLAYHOUSE.

Arthur “Arty” MacArnold stumbles into a television studio of a broadcast he had been following to meet Marty MacDonald, the host of The Marty MacDonald’s Emergency Broadcast Network Show!. On arrival, Arty is quickly captivated by the pristine playhouse -- but Marty isn’t there. Arty occupies the set and waits for Marty. As Arty waits, he loses hope, but CLAIRE (the Chair) begins to coerce Arty into talking about his loneliness. Arty’s social paranoia creeps up and manifests and he’s chased out of the one place he had felt somewhat comfortable in a long time, Arty returns to answer the call, but not only until realizing that he isn’t truly alone, and others, possibly out there like him, are in need of a “Marty”.
